How To Lose Weight Fast and Naturally

Obesity is at epidemic levels in most of the country, and there are no signs of it slowing down. The fact that it's a growing problem (pun intended) is no excuse for you to be overweight … but you already knew that. You want to get rid of some extra pounds and would like to know how to lose weight fast and naturally.  Well, here we go.

Exercise is an important part of any weight loss plan, and it has the benefit of being completely natural. Resistance exercises such as weight lifting, push-ups, pull-ups and plyometrics will firm up sagging muscle tissue.

This is important because it will allow you to burn more calories even when you are at rest; however, it doesn't burn a lot of calories when you are doing the actual exercise. That's why it's important to also include cardiovascular exercises like running, kickboxing, aerobics and swimming to your routine. These tend to burn the most calories while you're doing them and they are good for your overall health as well.

If you are serious about how to lose weight fast and naturally, then exercise alone isn't enough. You also need to watch what you eat. The word 'diet' scares a lot of people off, but there's no need to be concerned when you simply think of it as "eating differently".

The general rule of thumb is to eat foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. You will automatically cut out a lot of sodium, additives, preservatives and fat.  In other words, you will be eating healthier and taking in fewer empty calories at the same time. For example; a fresh, juicy apple is a better choice than an apple pie … from a fast food restaurant (and who knows how long that's been sitting under a heat lamp).

Whole Food Meal Supplements can be a huge help.  They offer you whole food nutrition and no empty calories.  Plus, because of the high nutritional content, they curb appetite.

I offer as much help as I can, but you have to do your part!  You know what you should be eating, and you know what you shouldn’t be eating.  The old excuse of “just one” cookie, “just one” biscuit, or “just one” soda (or whatever) won’t hurt DOES HURT!  I say that because … your rarely eating “just one” and the “just one” you didn’t count or the “just one” you forgot about all adds up.  As I say in class: bit by bit; and little by little.  I say it to encourage you to keep pressing on … in exercise, but also in you refining your eating habits.

And don’t forget the other half … exercise!  Remember, you need to mix things up a bit to see the maximum results for your efforts; Cardio and Resistance exercises.

If that sounds like too much effort, or you just don't have the time … then you have a problem my friend.
